AFTERCARE NOTES

rest
reflexology helps your nervous system enter deep relaxation, which can reduce inflammation, improve immune function, and activate your body’s healing systems. support this by getting plenty of rest, spending time in nature and meditating.

the ‘healing crisis’
some people may experience a temporary reaction such as headaches, fatigue or heavy emotions as your body rebalances. this is totally normal but if you’re at all concerned, please feel free to get in touch.

nutrition
because reflexology stimulates the lymphatic system, it is important to drink plenty of water or herbal teas afterwards. you can also eat organic fruit and vegetables to help your body flush out any toxins released during the session.

creativity
when your nervous system relaxes it shifts the brain from stress-driven focus to a calmer, more open state that facilitates creative thought. you might want to take advantage of this by journaling or drawing.

reduce stimulants
to help protect the nervous system, you might want to try reducing or avoiding anything heavily stimulating such as alcohol, caffeine, drugs or stressful environments for the next 24 hours.

consistency is key
regular can help treatments ‘train’ the body and mind to access deep rest more easily. to maintain and deepend these benefits, consider returning for sessions on a weekly or monthly basis.
